Job Description

Job Summary: The Finance Assistant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and ensuring efficient daily financial operations. This role includes handling accounts payable and receivable, managing petty cash, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory filings. The Finance Assistant will contribute to month-end reporting, assist in internal process improvements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
2. Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash transactions
3. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
4. Assist with VAT returns and regulatory compliance
5. Support the finance team in improving internal controls and processes
6. Ensure financial accuracy for month-end reports and maintain audit files

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
2. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
3. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred) and MS Excel
4. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
5. Ability to multitask, work independently, and contribute to a team
