The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing financial transactions, developing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. They record and process various financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries. They also reconcile bank statements, perform month-end closing procedures, and assist in financial audits. Responsibilities
Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Manage the company's fixed asset register and track depreciation expenses.
Process employee payroll, including tax calculations and deductions.
Assist in preparing month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist in financial audits by providing supporting documentation and explaining variances.
Maintain and update accounting records, journals, and ledgers.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting and financial issues.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting or related role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
