Job description

Our client, a well-known Investment & Holding Company, is currently looking for an Accountant - CA Inter to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, your responsibility would include but not limited to:

  1. Verify and record all financial transactions such as, but not limited to Journal Vouchers, Payment & Receipt Vouchers related to the operations at entities owned privately by H.E.
  2. Lead the collection and accurate allocation of residential and commercial rents of the Investment Properties within these entities.
  3. Purchases and other expense Invoices are reviewed and verified for entries.
  4. Ensure all financial transactions related to the entities are promptly recorded and monthly management reports are generated. Sufficient support schedules are to be filed and reported, as necessary.
  5. Monthly financial statements filed must contain explanations for major variances discussed with the respective Head of the entities and support teams.
  6. As required by the Chairman, regular Consolidation of Financial Statements for the different private entities.
  7. Verifying Bank Receipts and Payments and preparing Monthly Reconciliation Statements for all Bank Accounts held by each entity and liaising with the Bankers for any operational requirements.
  8. Ensure all information required by External and Internal Auditors is organised within the allowed timeframe and to perform all necessary tasks to conclude Audit engagements successfully.
  9. Liaise with Finance Department(s) across the other family office and related Corporate Group HQ, as the preliminary Finance operative point of contact for H.E's Private Office.
  10. Compile and issue a Daily Dashboard, extracted from daily operating reports received from the businesses. Ensure sufficient due diligence is performed to intercept errors or inaccuracies before reporting.
  11. Create, manage and safeguard a repository for all Finance department related documentation, not limited to all modes of Vouchers, Invoices, Statements etc for Group HQ and subsidiaries, managed at HQ.
  12. Compile periodic financial reports of all Capital (CAPEX) Projects overseen by H.E., along with the Projects team lead.
  13. Review the Finance and accounting procedures currently in place and recommend improvements to procedures and creation of policy documents to safeguard compliance.
  14. Any other ad-hoc responsibilities, as and when they arise.

Requirements

To be considered you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the UAE, preferably within the real estate sector.
  • Experience working with a brokerage real estate company or a property management firm, with strong knowledge of leasing, property sales, and property management.
  • Educational qualifications: Ideally a Master's in Commerce or a Bachelor's degree along with CA Inter certification.
  • Experience with EPMS (or similar ERP accounting software) is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should be committed, proactive, and capable of taking initiative.
  • Availability to join immediately, or within a maximum notice period of 1 month.
  • Must be willing to work in Abu Dhabi.
