Accountant - immediate start!

We are pleased to be working with our client who is looking for an accountant to join their team. You must be immediately available.

Job Summary: Maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering financial reports and insights to senior management. The role requires attention to detail, strong financial software skills, and effective collaboration with auditors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Banking Operations:

1. Download bank transactions daily and perform reconciliations.
2. Process monthly and ad hoc bill payments efficiently.

General Accounting Tasks:

1. Prepare journals for medical expenses, staff expenses, accruals, and prepayments.

Payroll Management:

1. Oversee monthly payroll processing via the system through bank platforms.

Audit Preparation and Compliance:

1. Collaborate with auditors for quarterly audits and ensure SCA requirements are met.
2. Assist in preparing annual audited accounts for SCA submission.

VAT and Corporate Tax Compliance:

1. File quarterly VAT returns with all necessary documentation.
2. Work closely with auditors to ensure timely and accurate corporate tax filings.

Financial Presentations and Reporting:

1. Prepare monthly financial presentations for the CEO and COO.
2. Develop quarterly financial reports for board meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Expertise in Excel and financial software tools.
2. Strong knowledge of payroll systems.
3. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
4. Familiarity with VAT processes.
5. Good communication abilities for working with auditors and stakeholders.
