Accountant - Accounts Payable

As a member of Munich Re, the MedNet Group is a leading Third-Party Administrator across the MEA region. We are currently seeking to hire Accounts Payable Accountant for our regional Finance Department at the MedNet Head office located in Dubai, UAE. The role will be responsible for managing the accounts payable functions across six entities within the Middle East region. This includes processing vendor invoices in Oracle, ensuring timely payments through Citibank and Bank Muscat portals, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Financial Controller in financial reporting.

Your Role:

• Process invoices into Oracle accounting system, ensuring proper coding and matching with purchase orders and contracts.
• Prepare and manage payment runs for multiple entities, ensuring payments are made timely and accurately via Citibank and Bank Muscat portals.
• Responsible for the accounts payable monthly closing for the six entities.
• Prepare aging reports and track outstanding liabilities to ensure timely payment.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and local regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.
• Support audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Continuously monitor and improve the accounts payable process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller and broader finance team as required.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles, with experience working across multiple entities.
• Working knowledge of recognized ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles, with experience working across multiple entities.
