Accountant (7 month contract)

Our client, who is a multinational pharmaceutical company, is seeking to hire an Accountant for a project-based position ASAP (Temporary contract of 7 months). The position will be based in Dubai and will be part of the Consumer Healthcare Division of the company.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the accounts payable function
2. To do shared services transactions of the Consumer Health division
3. Reporting to the Finance Manager
4. Will be mainly working on JD Edwards
5. Prepare weekly and monthly reports
6. Monitor aging payable
7. Maintain AP-related documents and monitor reports
8. Handle all types of AP queries
9. Work closely with the accounting team in successfully completing the project for 7 months

Minimum Requirements

1. Degree in Accounting
2. Minimum of 3 years experience ideally in a multinational company
3. Knowledge of JD Edwards
4. Must be diligent, attentive to detail, and hardworking
5. Good experience in AP
6. Team player
7. Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
8. Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure and with less supervision
9. Must be proactive and show good initiative
