Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 4-5 years of professional experience, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in general accounting functions and possess strong hands-on experience with ERP systems. Adaptability to new ERP environments and a proactive approach to continuous improvement are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with external and internal audits.
• Monitor inventory accounting and cost allocations (preferably in an industrial setting).
• Generate and maintain reports from the ERP system for management review.
• Participate in the implementation or transition of new ERP systems, and provide support and training as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience; industrial/manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Proven ability to adapt to and learn new ERP platforms quickly.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in inventory and cost accounting.
• Familiarity with IFRS or GAAP reporting standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
