Accountant

Job Title: Accountant (F&B Industry)

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Accounting Supervisor, you will:

• Organize and maintain accounting records, including ledgers, registers, and individual accounts, tailored to the unique needs of the F&B industry.
• Ensure accurate booking of accounting transactions, including daily sales reports, inventory adjustments, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Oversee accounts payable activities, including vendor payment processing, especially for food and beverage suppliers.
• Manage accounts receivable by preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
• Handle petty cash, staff meal deductions, advances, and expense claim transactions.
• Assist with food cost analysis, waste tracking, and profitability studies to ensure financial optimization.
• Perform reconciliations, prepare documentation for audits, and support internal controls specific to the F&B business.
• Prepare journal entries, update the balance sheet, and contribute to monthly and year-end financial closings.

Your Profile:

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelors degree in finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance standards specific to F&B operations.
• Expertise in handling transaction recording, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reports in an F&B setting.
• Experience with food costing, menu pricing, and profitability analysis.
• Knowledge of payroll and gratuity systems for restaurant staff.

IT Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and F&B-specific tools like POS systems, inventory management software, and payment gateways.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English (required).
