Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee clients' financial transactions, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires expertise in accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis to support clients in maintaining accurate records and making informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update clients’ financial records, general ledgers, and accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, trial balances, and financial reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.

Taxation & Compliance:

• Prepare and file VAT / GST returns, corporate tax, and other regulatory filings.
• Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with legal obligations.
• Assist clients in tax planning and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Keep up to date with changes in taxation laws and accounting standards.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
• Provide insights into financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Support clients in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Assist in financial audits and liaise with auditors when required.

Client Support & Advisory:

• Provide financial guidance and best accounting practices to clients.
• Assist in setting up accounting systems and software for new businesses.
• Support clients in payroll processing, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Address client queries regarding financial and tax matters.

Software & Technology:

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or other ERP systems.
• Ensure proper digital record-keeping and documentation of financial data.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or similar professional qualification (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a business setup firm or an accounting consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, SAP, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform internal audits of the company's financial, operational, and compliance-related activities.
• Adhere to UAE, KSA, and Oman accounting standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Develop audit strategies and execute audit plans to identify areas of improvement.
• Prepare audit findings and actionable recommendations to senior management, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensuring seamless cooperation during annual audits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and receipts.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
• Mentor and guide junior accountants and finance staff. Provide training and support as needed.
• Develop and implement improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management and stakeholders. Ensure proper filing and organization of financial records.
