Job Title: Accountant - Manufacturing (Perfume Industry)

Location: Ajman

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing division of our Perfume Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
   Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
   Provide insightful financial analysis, including cost of goods sold (COGS), production expenses, inventory management, and profitability.
   Analyze manufacturing costs and suggest cost-saving measures within the production process.
2. Cost Accounting:
   Track and allocate production costs (raw materials, labor, overhead) to ensure accurate costing of perfume products.
   Work with the operations team to monitor inventory levels, including raw materials and finished goods.
   Develop and maintain cost models for perfumes and packaging, ensuring margin analysis is accurate.
3. Inventory Management:
   Oversee the valuation and reconciliation of inventory for raw materials (fragrance oils, alcohol, packaging), work in progress, and finished goods.
   Conduct regular stock takes and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory audits.
   Collaborate with procurement and production teams to manage supply chain and ensure timely availability of materials.
4. Financial Compliance & Audits:
   Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and internal financial policies.
   Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
   Maintain accurate records for all accounting transactions, ensuring audit trails are clear and complete.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting:
   Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, focusing on production-related expenses and revenues.
   Monitor actual financial performance against budget, providing explanations for variances and recommending corrective actions.
6. Taxation:
   Support the preparation of VAT, sales tax, and other regulatory tax filings related to manufacturing activities.
   Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and assist in tax audits as required.
7. Collaboration:
   Work closely with the production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure accurate reporting and alignment of financial data.
   Provide financial insights to senior management, helping to inform decision-making processes for product pricing, manufacturing optimization, and profitability.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment. Experience in the perfume or fragrance industry is a strong advantage.

5. Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing processes.

8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
