Job Description

Objectives of this role:

• Managing and maintaining financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Reviewing financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Performing financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
• Preparing and reviewing annual/quarterly budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Developing and implementing economic policies and procedures in the company.
• Reviewing and processing vendor invoices with accurate booking in the Tally system.
• Providing timely financial information to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure VAT compliance and assist with timely VAT filings.
• Contributing to the overall financial health and stability of the organization.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Posting ledgers regularly.
• Prepare and present statements on a weekly basis, such as payables, receivables sheets, Treasury payments (loans, debts, investments) statement, cash flow, and other reports if needed.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and studying account information.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to management for decision-making.
• Manage treasury payment (loans, debts, investments) issues where applicable, including domestic and foreign payments.
• Ensure that the organization complies with all financial regulations, including FTA laws, accounting standards, and reporting requirements in UAE.
• Understand the recorded loans and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate and consult with Seniors, Management & Auditor to keep all information & requirement lists up to date.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Required skills and qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Good technical knowledge in tax and accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally.
• Experience in a multinational or cross-cultural work environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
