Job Title: Senior Accountant (Construction & Fitout Industry)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the construction and fitout industry. Proficiency in Tally software is essential. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage financial operations in a project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
2. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Manage project costing and ensure proper allocation of expenses related to construction and fitout projects.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and project-specific financial reports.
5. Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate tracking of project costs, progress, and billing.
6. Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
7. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings and other statutory reporting requirements.
8. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and reports.
9. Manage cash flow and ensure financial liquidity for ongoing projects.
10. Collaborate with senior management on financial reporting, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the construction and fitout industry.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
4. Strong understanding of financial regulations and tax compliance in the UAE.
5. Experience in managing project costing, contract management, and billing within the construction and fitout sectors.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills:

1. ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is highly desirable.
2. Experience with ERP systems and project management software specific to the construction and fitout industry is an advantage.
