Accountant

General Ledger and Reconciliation

1. Maintain and update general ledger accounts for tax, financial reporting, and monthly closing activities.
2. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
3. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Review disbursements, bank and credit card transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Cash Management, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable

1. Manage cash flow by processing supplier invoices, employee expense reports, and intercompany charges.
2. Ensure timely vendor payments and manage payment schedules.
3. Generate and send customer invoices, and monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
4. Monitor cash flow for each entity to ensure sufficient liquidity for working capital optimization.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

1. Assist the Finance Manager in the development and implementation of financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts for each entity.
2. Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
3. Monitor each entity’s financial performance and identify areas of concern and propose improvement opportunities.
4. Identify and assess financial risks for each entity and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
5. Ensure accuracy and timely submission of financial statements, management reports, and other financial disclosures for each entity.
6. Ensure proper and complete substantiation of documents for all financial transactions including tax returns.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive financial efficiency and effectiveness across all entities.
8. Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws for each entity.

Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• At least 4 years relevant work experience preferably in transactional accounting.
• Exposure in handling multiple entities/projects.
• Familiarity with accounting system software, Quickbooks preferred.
• Knowledge in UAE Taxes and compliance.
