Accountant

Oil Trading company is seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with at least 5 years of professional experience and expertise in SAP Business One. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in stock management, VAT filing, and possess a recognized accounting accreditation such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CMA. The candidate will play a critical role in managing our financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing inventory and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:
   1. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
   2. Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
   3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
2. SAP Business One Management:
   1. Utilize SAP Business One for financial reporting, budgeting, and inventory management.
   2. Customize SAP Business One workflows and reports to meet the company’s operational requirements.
   3. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and management within SAP Business One.
3. VAT Filing & Compliance:
   1. Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and in a timely manner.
   2. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
   3. Stay updated on changes in VAT laws and regulations.
4. Stock Management:
   1. Oversee inventory control and stock management processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and valuations.
   2. Conduct regular stock reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
   3. Implement best practices for inventory management to minimize losses and optimize operations.
5. Budgeting & Cost Analysis:
   1. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
   2. Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education & Certification:
   1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
   2. Professional accreditation such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CMA (mandatory).
2. Experience:
   1. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in industries involving stock and inventory management.
   2. Hands-on experience with SAP Business One is mandatory.
3. Technical Skills:
   1. Proficiency in VAT filing and compliance.
   2. Strong knowledge of inventory and stock management practices.
   3. Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
4. Soft Skills:
   1. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
   2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
   3. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
