Job Summary:

The accountant will handle a wide range of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and the finalization of accounts. Responsibilities include maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Saudi Arabian companies and possess knowledge of the country's accounting and taxation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper documentation and organization.
• Prepare financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Finalize accounts and assist with management reporting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and review sub-ledgers (e.g., fixed assets, AP, AR), identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., VAT) and prepare tax returns.
• Provide support for internal and external audits, addressing queries and recommendations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Process payroll and manage payroll-related taxes and deductions.
• Analyze financial data and offer recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
• Develop internal controls to protect assets and improve financial processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and handle ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progress toward professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
• Proven experience in general accounting and account finalization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
