We are currently looking for an Accountant with the expertise and experience to help us navigate this exciting journey ahead in our Dubai office.

As our Accountant, you will be tasked with the following key responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

  1. Manage full set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, etc.).
  2. Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Assist in financial analysis to support management decision-making, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  4. Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  5. Prepare corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
  6. Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely and accurate VAT reporting.
  7. Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  8. Track and manage project-related costs, including budgets and forecasts.

Invoicing & Billing:

  1. Generate, process, and follow up on client invoices.
  2. Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
  3. Coordinate with clients and vendors regarding any discrepancies in invoices.

Payroll Processing:

  1. Process monthly payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
  2. Ensure all payroll-related deductions and benefits are accurately calculated and processed.
  3. Coordinate with HR for employee salary data and adjustments.
  4. Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports.

Payment Processing:

  1. Manage and process payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate payments in line with payment terms.
  3. Reconcile payment transactions and maintain accurate records.
  4. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for payments.

Cash Flow Management & Bank Reconciliation:

  1. Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure the company’s liquidity and financial health.
  2. Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  3. Track and manage outstanding incoming and outgoing payments to maintain cash flow efficiency.
  4. Coordinate with the finance team to forecast cash needs and ensure funds are available for business operations.

Administrative Support:

  1. Perform day-to-day office administrative duties (e.g., answering phones, managing emails, scheduling appointments).
  2. Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence as required.
  3. Maintain and update company records, both digital and physical.
  4. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and financial tracking.

Reporting to HQ in Singapore:

  1. Regularly report financial data and key metrics to headquarters in Singapore.
  2. Assist in providing detailed financial analysis and insights as requested by the Singapore HQ.
  3. Ensure alignment with global accounting standards and company procedures.

Other Duties:

  1. Assist with procurement and vendor management as needed.
  2. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

We would like to hear from you, if you possess the following:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent is a plus).
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and administration, ideally in the oil and gas industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, corporate tax regulations, and accounting standards.
  4. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar).
  5. Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
  6. Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  7. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Strong organizational skills and the ability to report accurately to HQ.
