Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accountant with 3-5 years of experience in a finance role with an Auditing/Accounting Firm to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and practices, and providing financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and posting of daily journal entries
• Weekly reconciliation of Bank, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Inventory
• Preparation & finalization of general ledger & trial balance for month end closing
• Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions and all journal entries
• Ensure all balances are properly supported and documented
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Ensure the timely preparation of all financial records for monthly financial reporting
• Preparation of ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested
• Daily reporting of Trading Future & options P&L.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or preferably a master’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3-5 years of experience in a finance role with an Auditing/Accounting Firm is essential, any commodity industry related experience would be beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles & practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in operating an ERP/Integrated accounting software
