Job Description: Accountant

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monthly Management Accounts:

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss accounts and Balance Sheets.

1. VAT Registration and Return Submission:

• Manage VAT registration and submission of returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.

1. Corporate Tax Registration and Return Submission:

• Handle corporate tax registration and submit returns as per regulatory guidelines.

1. Project Work:

• Participate in ad-hoc projects, contributing to various aspects as required.

1. Monthly Processing:

• Set up and maintain a cloud accounting system for efficient financial management.
• Ensure accurate recording of all sales, implementing a robust system to identify and address issues.
• Conduct Cash & Bank Reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy.

1. Accounts Receivable:

• Oversee the recording and invoicing system, ensuring effective tracking and periodic monitoring of debtors.

1. Accounts Payable:

• Maintain the purchasing system, reconcile creditor statements, and handle queries efficiently.

1. VAT and Corporate Tax Registration on FTA Portal:

• Register for VAT and corporate tax on the FTA Portal as and when required.

1. Submission of VAT and Corporate Tax Returns:

• Submit VAT and Corporate Tax Returns in accordance with regulatory timelines.

Qualifications:

We are seeking an ambitious, confident, and professional individual with the following qualifications:

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm or industry position.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• UAE experience is highly desirable.
