Accountant is responsible for assisting in recording day-to-day transactions of the Company, including but not limited to overheads, depreciation, and marketing expenses. Also, periodically the job requires reconciliation of trade and non-trade suppliers and debtors and performing bank reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking of day-to-day entries (including but not limited to overheads, depreciation, marketing expenses)
- Non-trade debtors/vendors bookkeeping and reconciliation
- Reconciliation of trade creditors
- Issuing credit notes to customers and linking the credit notes to claims done in operational systems to ensure correct allocation of funds
- Booking credit notes from suppliers and linking credit notes to claims made in operational systems to ensure correct allocation of funds
- Performing bank reconciliation
- Controlling marketing activities including booking of invoices, claims to vendors, passing of funds to customers, and ensuring that the result of marketing activities is zero for the company
- Liaising with the Sales team to ensure correct allocation of claims to suppliers in the operational system and on-time receipt of credit notes from suppliers
- Assistance with preparation of VAT return
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- 3+ years of experience in working in the Accounting department in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and processes
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office
