Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reconciliation, preparing financial reports, and assisting in month-end closing activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, UAE tax regulations, and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
2. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
3. Prepare and analyze financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
4. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
5. Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
6. Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
7. Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards (IFRS).
8. Prepare and file VAT and Corporate Tax returns accurately and on time, keeping up-to-date with regulations.
9. Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
10. Provide support with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
11. Manage petty cash and prepare expense reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is a plus.
