Account Payable Accountant

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments to vendors.
• Conduct thorough review of invoices for discrepancies, verifying coding, approvals, and adherence to company policy.
• Maintain vendor relationships through effective communication, resolving payment issues and responding to inquiries promptly.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs, ensuring adherence to payment terms and optimizing cash flow.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monthly statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist in month-end close activities by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations related to accounts payable.
• Implement and maintain an organized filing system for invoices, contracts, and other financial documents for easy retrieval.
• Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging report, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and answering inquiries regarding accounts payable.

• Experience in the manufacturing or retail industry can provide valuable insights into accounts payable processes specific to these sectors.
