Account Managers (Key Accounts) Public Sector or Financial Services or Energy and Utility

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with key accounts in the cybersecurity space. This role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored solutions that address client needs.

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of cybersecurity solutions aligned with customer needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, sales, marketing, and delivery, to deliver seamless solutions and address client requirements effectively.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients, identifying areas for improvement to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, including quarterly sales results, annual forecasts, and client satisfaction levels.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on account status and performance metrics for leadership reviews.
  • Work with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within assigned territories and key accounts.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations, ensuring prompt resolution to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity industry trends, client needs, and competitive offerings to proactively address market demands.
  • Identify and leverage cross-functional opportunities for upselling and cross-selling cybersecurity products and services.

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or similar role within the cybersecurity industry.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects simultaneously, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and delivering measurable account growth.

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, Computer Science, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical solutions for a business audience.
  • Solid analytical skills, with experience in using CRM tools and reporting platforms to track account metrics.
