Job description

We are hiring for a Sales and Business Development professional to join our team.

Job Overview:

To increase the revenue from the transactional clients by actively approaching and selling Veolia standard products and services.

Job Purpose:

To proactively identify and sell Veolia products and services to the customers as per the Veolia company policy and manage the entire sales cycle for the transactional clients.

Major Job Responsibilities & Duties of the Role include, but are not limited to:

  1. Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to the assigned portfolio.
  2. Oversee customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit and positive customer experience.
  3. Build and maintain strong long-lasting customer relationships to retain the clients and grow revenue and profitability in the assigned portfolio.
  4. Identify and approach potential new clients from the medium and large segment.
  5. Manage the entire life cycle of the customers in the assigned portfolio.
  6. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of Veolia solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  7. Forecast and track account metrics (e.g., annual forecasts, quarterly sales report, etc.).
  8. Manage all customer-related information through Veolia CRM systems (Salesforce).
  9. Establish a deep understanding of the assigned portfolio and individual customers (Opportunities, Buying behavior, Decision making patterns, etc.).
  10. Manage the sales pipeline, with regular updates and ensure the pipeline is 100% accurate for effective forecasting.
  11. Creation of vendor registration details (New customers).
  12. Authorities will be discussed during the initial induction process with the HOD and communicated as per organizational standards and policies.

Job Objectives & Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Retain the revenue & clients as per the targets set by Veolia.
  2. Bring additional revenue from the existing clients as per the set targets (up-selling & cross-selling).
  3. Bring new revenue from new clients as per Veolia set targets.
  4. Manage the profit margin on the assigned clients as per Veolia targets.
  5. Manage the DSO (Day Sales Outstanding) for the assigned portfolio.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  1. Mandatory Experience: Minimum 2 years of sales & account management experience in UAE, preferably in waste management or related sectors in a well-reputed organization.
  2. Mandatory Qualifications: Hold a relevant educational qualification from a well-recognized and reputable academic institution fit for the required job function.
  3. Preferred Professional Skills:
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent workload and time management.
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail, correctness, and accuracy with the good use of English and technical terminology.
  • Able to create new reports and tools for use by employees and management.
  • A good command of written and spoken English is a must.
  • Good command of Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an advantage.
  • Interpersonal Skills Requisite.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • UAE valid light vehicle driving license is a must.
  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Effective problem identification, problem-solving, and improvement implementation.
  • Exemplary communication, ability to think strategically, ability to make effective decisions, plan and prioritize a substantial workload, analytical capabilities, multicultural communication skills, and team integrity, and strong work ethic built on teamwork.
  • UAE Driving License: Required.

    • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-handling skills.
  • Other Mandatory Requirements:
    • Ensure that reporting is performed promptly and accurately.
    • Organize soft & hard files with a focus on digitalization.
    • Update reports within the specified time.
    • Produce requested reports when required by the Line Manager.
    • Ensure all the tasks are updated and recorded using the digital tools for reporting.
    • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, and related apps.
    • Must be proficient in Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel.
    • Must have a very good knowledge and experience on CRMs.
    • Understand, implement, and follow the QHSE policy.
    • Report any HSE incident immediately as per VESE HSE procedures.
