Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will be the face of our Cloudflare business unit, managing client relationships, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will work closely with clients, Cloudflare partners, and our technical team to identify business opportunities, provide tailored solutions, and achieve revenue targets. This role requires a combination of sales acumen, technical understanding, and a passion for building long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients and actively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Develop new client relationships through inbound leads and partnerships with Cloudflare and Value-Added Resellers (VARs).
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Sales & Pipeline Management:
- Qualify and follow up on inbound leads, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads from initial contact to deal closure.
- Collaborate with the presales team to deliver tailored solutions and proposals that meet client needs.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Work closely with Cloudflare partners and VARs to identify synergies and drive business growth.
- Represent the company at partner events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Project Alignment:
- Ensure that client expectations align with deliverables by working closely with the technical team during project scoping.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Cloudflare's solutions, including cybersecurity offerings, to effectively communicate value propositions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel:
- Be open to regular travel, both domestically and internationally, to meet clients and attend industry events.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Dual degrees (e.g., IT + Business) or an MBA are a strong plus.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years in sales, account management, or a client-facing role, ideally in the IT or SaaS sector.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions or cloud services is highly desirable.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., WAF, Zero Trust, CDN) or willingness to learn.
- Ability to understand and explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken); fluency in French is a plus.
- Energetic and proactive personality with a focus on client satisfaction and results.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Mindset:

- Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend events.
