As we build an agency for the future, we are looking for a freelance Account Manager to liaise between clients and the agency. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring the successful execution of campaigns.
About the Role
The Account Manager role has responsibility across the agency.
Leadership and Influence:
- Promotes our agency spirit and values.
- Ensures junior team members are meeting the expectations of the key contacts in resource/finance/one studio/creative.
- Able to identify internal issues and find solutions.
- Manages and leads delivery teams (producers, PMs, resource teams).
- Ensures all briefs are internally approved & available on time.
People and Team:
- Responsible for setting expectations of junior team members.
- Ensures consistency and accuracy in all team and client admin. Extreme attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors.
- Prioritises workload and resource to align with client expectations.
- Manages juniors with appropriate levels of direction, guidance, and support.
- Expert in a specific client business area or channel.
- Thorough understanding of the client's category and competitors.
- Confident in writing clear creative briefs for smaller projects.
- Demonstrates an understanding of multiple communications channels and how creative ideas need to be adapted.
Clients:
- Key client contact on specific briefs or area of the client business.
- Manages the client's agency experience to ensure they understand the process but don't feel it.
- Confident to take small briefs and challenge the client to get all the information needed to understand the business issue/problem.
- Proactively manages client expectations and finds solutions to issues.
- Ensures clients feel M&C Saatchi cares about their brand by surprising them each quarter.
Commercial/Growth:
- Ensures financial best practices are consistently delivered across the team when creating estimates, POs, invoicing, and managing WIP.
- Reviews monthly project reconciliations, manages resource usage, and suggests opportunities to improve margin.
- Clearly communicates expected monthly income on own projects.
- Ensures cost estimates are explained to and understood by the client.
Creativity:
- Passionate about our creative product and builds ideas with the creative teams.
- Confident in presenting and selling ideas to clients.
- Ensures client feedback is understood and articulated to creatives.
- Internal brand guardian and expert on consistency and execution.

A trusted and autonomous owner of client relationships, projects, and consistently exceeds expectations internally and externally.
