Objective:

Babyshop is a leading baby and kids’ retailer in the Middle East, offering a wide range of high-quality products for babies, toddlers, and children. As an Accessories Buyer for Babyshop, you will be responsible for curating and managing the range of accessories for children and teens. Your role is crucial in developing a comprehensive category strategy, ensuring product assortment appeals to a wide audience, and maximizing sales and customer satisfaction across both physical and online retail channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Category Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives.
    • Define the target market, customer segments, and competitive landscape for the kids' accessories category.
    • Identify and target customer segments and market trends specific to the kids' accessories category for both online and in-store.
  2. Product Assortment:
    • Source, select, and manage an authoritative range of accessories suitable for children, including but not limited to watches, glasses, earrings, etc.
    • Build an authoritative range of accessories online.
    • Monitor industry trends and market demands to ensure the assortment is up-to-date and relevant.
    • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, exclusivity, and delivery schedules.
  3. In-Store and Online Merchandising:
    • Optimize the digital merchandising strategy to present products in an engaging and user-friendly manner on the e-commerce platform.
    • Create and maintain visually appealing product listings, product descriptions, and multimedia content.
    • Collaborate with VM and store merchandising teams to ensure a cohesive in-store and online presence.
  4. Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns, both in physical stores and online, to boost sales.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance and proactively respond to trends and deviations.
    • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Customer Experience:
    • Collect customer feedback and data to drive continuous improvements in the category.
    • Implement effective cross-selling and upselling techniques to maximize customer satisfaction and average order value.
  6. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure that all products within the kids' accessories category meet safety and regulatory standards for children.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology or a Management graduate from a reputed institute.
  • Previous experience in category management with an online retailer.
  • Good knowledge of buying processes.
  • Exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and merchandising tools.
  • A passion for understanding customer needs and market trends.
