AC Technician (Chilled Water & AC Unit Systems)

We are seeking a skilled AC Technician with expertise in AC unit systems, including chilled water systems, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, split units, package units, and central AC units.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion valves, pumps, and cooling towers.
3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AC systems to ensure efficiency and longevity.
4. Inspect and repair ductwork, piping, insulation, and electrical connections of AC systems.
5. Monitor and maintain chilled water flow, temperature, pressure, and chemical treatment levels.
6. Handle gas charging, refrigerant recovery, and leak detection for different AC systems.
7. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to assist in repairs and installations.
8. Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while handling tools, refrigerants, and equipment.
9. Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Education: Diploma or vocational training in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC.
2. Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in AC maintenance, including chilled water systems.
3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of chilled water plants, FCUs (Fan Coil Units), AHUs (Air Handling Units), and VRF / VRV systems.
4. Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults in AC systems.
5. Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and energy-efficient cooling solutions is a plus.
6. Language: Basic proficiency in English for communication and reporting.
7. Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit to work in various environments and lift heavy equipment when necessary.
