AC Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our team. The AC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

1. Install, maintain, and repair various types of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, central cooling plants, chillers, and refrigeration units.
2. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in AC and refrigeration systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
4. Replace or repair defective components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and valves.
5. Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and recharging according to industry standards and regulations.
6. Conduct system performance tests and adjustments to ensure proper operation and adherence to specifications.
7. Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on larger installation or maintenance projects.
8. Keep accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
9. Provide recommendations to customers on system upgrades, repairs, or replacements based on the condition and efficiency of existing equipment.
10. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations during all work activities.
11. Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians when required.
12. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements

1. 3 years experience as an AC Technician or HVAC technician.
2. Certification or diploma in HVAC/R or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, components, and controls.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
5. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in AC systems.
6. Skilled in using tools and equipment for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
