AC Technician

Responsibilities

1. Maintain the hotel equipment, building, and assets in good condition to ensure high performance and reduce breakdowns.
2. Report any misuse of hotel equipment and assets to the direct Supervisor or Shift Leader immediately.
3. Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Shift Engineer/Chief Engineer.
4. Conduct daily inspections and rectifications of all public areas related to your trade.
5. Regularly inspect and tour the Mechanical and Electrical plant rooms to ensure they are clean and in operating order.
6. Regularly inspect utilities and inform the Line Manager immediately in case of any failure, breakage, or shortage.
7. Ensure that appropriate files are maintained and resources are kept for future reference.
8. Complete daily reports outlining work undertaken for the day.
9. Carry a pager and respond to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day.
10. Perform lighting checks to ensure all globes are in working order.
11. Investigate reported faults (e.g., laundry, kitchen, rooms, etc.).
12. Assist in planning and scheduling daily operations and preventative maintenance.
13. Complete periodic maintenance schedules.
14. Monitor energy and water consumption used in the hotel.
