AC Multi Technician

Job Summary:

Responsible for conducting maintenance checks and repairs for air conditioning and other cooling or heating systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for AC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Inspecting tools utilized and informing the line supervisor on the replacement of a tool to avoid any damage to materials or persons.
• Prioritizing safety when carrying out installations/repairs and taking necessary precautions as per Company/local legislation.

Knowledge:

• Must have wide knowledge and skills in repairing different kinds of air conditioning and cooling/heating systems.
• Must have knowledge in troubleshooting and the ability to detect damages and malfunctions.
• Know how to change spare parts.

Skills:

• Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Aware of the tools and equipment required to carry out this job.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an A/C Technician.

Working Conditions:

• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 25 kg. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
• Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
