Job Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical, pipeline, civil, and electrical & instrumentation projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather relevant information, ensuring all aspects of the project scope are covered in the estimates.
• Utilize advanced estimation software to compile data and generate comprehensive bid proposals that reflect both material and labor costs effectively.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis using industry-standard methodologies to determine the most accurate projections.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Prepare risk assessments by identifying potential project pitfalls and developing contingency plans to mitigate financial impacts.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data and benchmarks to inform future estimates and optimize bidding strategies.
• Assist in the negotiation process with clients and vendors, providing insight into pricing structures and material costs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material prices, and technological advancements to enhance the accuracy of estimates.
• Participate in post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve the estimating process and methodologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field is essential for understanding complex project requirements.
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience in estimating for Oil & Gas field in mechanical or pipeline or civil or E&I projects is required to ensure competence.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or similar credentials are highly valued for credibility in the field.
• Proficient in estimation software like Primavera, RSMeans, or similar tools is critical for efficient and accurate cost calculations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for international projects and negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills are necessary for interpreting technical documents and performing accurate cost assessments.
• Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with team members and convey complex information to stakeholders.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously demonstrates strong organizational skills.
